Happy Spring!
Is it true that Spring has sprung?
Here in Paris it has...well, sort of.
All the luscious fleuristes are always stocked with extraordinary blooms.
The trees are starting to bud, and the flowers are popping up and
showing their colors.
We still need our jackets and scaves, but Spring is definitely on its way!
Sunshine and blue skies are on the week's agenda!
A sweet group of Japanese expats were out on the Anevue des Champs Elysées on Sunday. They had created a memorial for the victims of the quake and tsunami.
You could write messages on the mat and choose from hundreds of origami birds, which you were to unfold and write your meassage inside.
(The trick was getting it back together - thankfully the professionals were standing by to help with this!)
Everyone was stopping; Japanese, French, Indian, American, Egyptian...
It was heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.
