That would be my ultimate day of bliss too...but the antique shops in Brisbane would be quite blah compared to places where you go brocanting!
What divine images and places!
Best wishes dear Mimi for a beautiful weekend,
Natasha.
Take a leisurely walk in an area of quaint shops and boutiques browse and maybe buy something that speaks to me...then stop and sit and have a beverage and people watch!
I pretend I am on vacation while exploring my own city!
I will have to take a walk down Broadway where all the antique shops are in Denver some leisure Saturday! I love these photos! You have such a beautiful advantage where you live! Lucky lady! Hugs to you from me Anne
Ahhhh! This would be the perfect day of treasure hunting and inspirational window shopping! Nothing quite that grande here in Texas, though. Such lovely images. ~ Angela
Miimi, what exquisite shops! I love the antique mirrors. You make it sound all so very romantic!
As for spare time...nap!

Oh precious Mimi,
Free time.....it is so "expensive" and rare, that do you know, I just long for quiet!!!! That is what I do; I sit quietly with a book, or I draw, or go browsing like you, in ANTIQUE STORES!!!! Enjoy every moment, dearest! Bisous on this fine, Sunday afternoon! Anita
There aren't really any shops to browse in here in the little town in Maine where we live now, so when I have a free moment (which isn't often), I do like to be outside with my husband and take a walk.
Thank you so much for your visits!
Wishing you a beautiful Sunday there!
A bientôt!
Betty
I love to take in nature when I have free time. I try and create the moment by walking instead of taking public transportation and seeing what's out there. Living in Paris sometimes feels like a vacation when I discover boutiques, quaint little streets and shops or stumble across a beautiful garden or park.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful spots. Always a pleasure to see things through your eyes.
Hi Mimi,
Free time is not easy to find but always possibly and the good ones you buy the best way of using it.
We wait impatient for this wonderful opportunity to buy....chez toi.
Have a lovely afternoon,
Hugs,
Cecilia

Blessings dear friend,
Jo
My Queen congrats on your new venture of starting an on-line magazine!!! what a brilliant idea. I definitely missed this post by I am now all caught up on your new idea, as I read the post today! I know it will be a true success and I can contribute my stationery images and any articles of my work, oh and the boutique that carries my stationery can contribute too! La Dona Carmen is a boutique that specializes in event planning and carries luxurious items from Europe! Simply elegant and divine!
Now lets see... I spend my free time watching movies with Mr. La Petite Plume and my fabulous children and reading! I also love to ride around looking at new houses in beautiful towns, and antique shopping! I love to enjoy a nice glass of wine while I read too:) Fabulous post Queen Mimi!!
Royal wishes,
Daisy

Oh, free time! True, it's so hard to find time for yourself. But whatever free time I get, I usually spend it with my friends, cooking for them, or reading.
Is there anything better than browsing through antique shops?! I think not! :) That is exactly how I spend my free time as well, and of course stopping for some delicious treats as well....
Happy Monday Love! Really excited about the magazine....
♥
Rachel
Great post. i lie antiques.
Dear Mimi, antique shops are my favorite place to step in and dream. Unfortunately - those in which I can afford to buy do not have what I really want. And vice versa - the ones in which windows I see the gems and jewels of antique worlds are hardly affordable. But at least it is educating the taste and the ideas what to do for the case if I hit the lottery :-))
kind regards, Martina
Bonjour Mimi, I like to leave through magazines, magazines and magazines!
Hope your week is off to a great start! xoxo
Hi Mimi!
you need to know I am not nearly as interesting as Kate :) Not even close!!! But it is very nice to meet you!
Oh yes...I am craving a good antique shop right now. I have a little stash i have been saving up just for that but the shops close to home are not the best :) I think I will need to follow YOU around...looks fab!
Antique shops and markets, book shops, lazy lunch in the park and chats with my lovely man... Bliss. Love from London x
Beautiful shots of the antique stores! I have yet to venture in many of them (though I live close to a few), but I do love admiring the crammed windows :) There is something very relaxing about rummaging through finds, especially when you know that most items will have a story to tell.
Hope you've been enjoying the wonderful sunny weather! My husband did very well at the marathon, but he's crazy enough to run another one in London this week ;-)
I love antiquing! One of my fav things to do with my mom and sister when I see them! xoxo
Oh what lovely antique shops. I could spend hours just browsing.
Lovely photos.
hugs
Sissie
I am so glad that you brought up your concept for the on line magazine again. I was wondering how it was going? I always stop by for a quick visit, to see the beautiful photos, the kind that I can't take, but love to see. How can you not take a photo where you are and not have it be beautiful. I enjoy strolling down the streets if only in my imagination. Thanks for allowing me to do so. By the way, I hope that folks don't get to bored with everything I will be showing for the Bridal Shower. I am having fun.
Bonjour Mimi,
I love to shop in antique stores, it's one of mine and my husband's favourite things to do during the little free time we have! I wish I would have found that shop whilst in Paris.
I'm looking forward to the online magazine ~ I hope it's going well!
xoxo, B
I always am so delighted with your pictures! I spend my time reading, if I can't physically get carted away to magical places, at least I can mentally!
Have a lovely day!
Kate
Dear Mimi,
What wonderful antique shops and, right on your doorstep as well. I have to travel a bit to find such lovely shops but, that's good, as if they were around the corner, I would be broke !! haha.
I seem to spend most of my free time on the computer, commenting !! This blogging takes up an awful lot of time, doesn't it ?
Have a lovely week. XXXX

Bonjour Mimi!
I just love a great antique shop and these look lovely!! I find I have been having less and less free time lately. I'd like to refer to it as "precious time" these days. What I like to do in it is blog, create, shop (with my daughter, sister or friends) create, and look at decorating magazines, oh yes and NAP!!!
I hope you are having a wonderful day and may you squeeze in some free time too!

Dear Mimi, what a wonderful post. I must say that I tryed to post my comments several times, but each time your Blog would give me an error. I decided to try today once again and so happy it looks like it is going to be posted.I love the way you spend your free time. I am ashamed to say I forgot what free time feels like. :-) When I do get lucky with some time to myself I love gardening, going for a walk with my dogs, reading and sleeping. :-)))I hope you had a wonderful week so far. :-)
Hi sweet Mimi Blue, What a lovely way to spend some precious moments of free time. Browsing through antique shops in Paris is one of my favorite things to do, if only I had more opportunities to do so.
I am looking forward to your magazine, I just know it will be divine...like you are!!
xoxo
More than likely I would be doing the exact same thing you were doing, then stopping in for a quiet lunch in a bistro out of the way somewhere, perhaps even a visit to a little country house for tea! (squealing sharply!) And if I am really lucky, it will raining so I can skip through puddles with my newly acquired treasures while I whistle C'est si bon!
Cheers Mimi :-)
Bonjour Mimi, please pop over to my blog to pick up a little something... Love from London x
Mimi,
If I had even a few minutes of free time, I could be founds browsing through greenhouse garden shops. I would have said antiques stores, but I just don't have access to one like you imaged in your post...they must be fabulous. Have a wonderful week. Rita
A girl after my own heart :-) I love this kind of shopping.
Where is this shop? I have been to the big flea market 3 times (north of Paris...can't spell it), but I would love to know of a few small shops I could explore that are more in the city... will be in Paris again this fall.
I just get out of the house and go window shopping :)
Thank you for linking to French Obsession. Love this!
Have a wonderful week my friend :)
