A New Week

I begin my day sitting at my vanity, 'putting my face on', and getting ready for another day.

I find this little ritual calming, and enjoy being surrounded by
vintage silver and anything pretty.

And you? Do you have a morning routine that gets you going?

Put a Little Ooh La La in Your Life!

Fluffing my pillows, and climbing back in with a coffee and my pups who love to languish in bed too! Ah, if the little one would only let me.

I love your morning ritual and your beautiful dressing table - so many pretty things. I love the stacked paintings and the pink perfume bottle.

I do have a fairly new morning ritual.
It begins with me staggering out of my bedroom, side stepping tiny trucks and blocks on the way to the coffee pot!!! Then I hope that I have a minute or two before Mason pops up from Blue Creek Basement wanting Muddy to give him his morning cereals!!! And, I wouldn't change it for anything.

I will have the chance to breath again but I will never have the chance to watch this little guy grow up again.

Hope y'all have a good week.

The vanity is gorgeous; I can see why you begin your day here...such inspiration.

Mornings are my favorite part of the day, and I enjoy a very hot cup of tea, prepare breakfast for the family, and then enjoy a yoga session. Life just seems to flow better when these three things happen first thing.

Enjoy your new week!

My husband gets home at 7am...he is a police officer. I get out of bed after he kisses me, wake the puggle, do puggly things, feed six cats, take one down to the litter box because she is afraid of the world, clean litter boxes, have a glass of water, wake up daughter, make breakfast and set up homeschool.
This is like therapy! I just realized why I am so tired! LOL!
What a lovely dressing table! I have one but I rarely use it. Some days I don't even brush my hair until noon!

OH, que c'est beau! Much as I love cosmetics and perfume, I sit cross-legged on the floor in front of a mirror-fronted wardrobe...do you think I need a more lady-like arrangement?!

What a pretty dressing table Mimi!
I go for a 2 mile walk, almost every morning. Where we now live is just so gorgeous, and the walking trails are superb, I check on some baby goats down the way, take a look at the Beltie cows in the fields, and watch the sun come up. It's heavenly!
Then, of course, the essential makeup ritual...and on to tea and email!

Your vanity is beautiful!
I have a vintage statue sitting on top of my vanity and my favorite necklaces are draped over her shoulders. It seems like every time I put on my makeup, I seem to catch a glimpse of her beauty and I smile.

I hope all is well in your world.

The only vanity I've ever seen that was this pretty was when I visited the home of an interior decorator. So take that as a compliment. :) Beautiful!

Beautiful post, and I love your silver. My morning routine begins with hugs and kisses from my husband and children as I see them off. I make a cup of rose tea and sit at my vanity as I begin my day. I love the ritual of applying make-up and parfum, listening to music and picking out my ensemble as I set off to either school, lunch with girlfriends or running errands. I wish I could bring myself to work-out but I'm truly not a morning person.
Wishing you a most lovely weekend!
xoxo, B
