Happy Spring!
Is it true that Spring has sprung?
Here in Paris it has...well, sort of.
All the luscious fleuristes are always stocked with extraordinary blooms.
The trees are starting to bud, and the flowers are popping up and
showing their colors.
We still need our jackets and scaves, but Spring is definitely on its way!
Sunshine and blue skies are on the week's agenda!
A sweet group of Japanese expats were out on the Anevue des Champs Elysées on Sunday. They had created a memorial for the victims of the quake and tsunami.
You could write messages on the mat and choose from hundreds of origami birds, which you were to unfold and write your meassage inside.
(The trick was getting it back together - thankfully the professionals were standing by to help with this!)
Everyone was stopping; Japanese, French, Indian, American, Egyptian...
It was heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.
We continue to send our support and prayers to the people of Japan!

This post warmed my heart! So meaningful. I was in Japan a few years ago, and the people were lovely.
I haven't been able to sit and enjoy the new magazine! It's on my list of things to do...good things!!!
What a lovely idea. I might do that with my class because I know they want to do something for the Japanese. Fiona

The story of the origami cranes made me "happy-sad"...that's what my daughter calls it when I cry over something that fills my heart.
Great way to show support! :) Hope you had a nice weekend!

Officially Spring yes but we just need to banish the cold winds we are getting in Europe at the moment :)
What a lovely idea for a memorial! How sweet. I wish the weather would warm up here; it's been chilly and windy and rainy. Bleh. Stop by for a visit if you get a chance; I am moving my blog.

How I wish our trees were blooming! We have a lot of snow and freezing rain instead! Beautiful blog you have here!

Mimi, these flowers are stunning...I'm jealous because in Rome the flowers are not as abundant to purchase. Paris seems to refined and elegant. Also adore those trees and can't imagine how spectacular to see all the blooms on them! The memorial is an incredible tribute, like a work of art... so touching.
xoxo

The flowers are delightful. I need to bring mine in this evening as it is to get down to a disappointing 33 degrees. And to think I was wearing a suntop a mere few days ago and in the mountains ~ xox Alexandra
