I want to try out some new ideas and projects
that have been percolating for quite some time.
I’ve been dreaming of creating something delicious

an outlet where my romantic side can flourish

Baccarat

An intriguing place that is big enough for all of us,

place-du-tertre-1
I’ve been busy working on a destination…
An online magazine to showcase and share creativity
in all its varied forms.
The blogosphere is the perfect place to do just that
and the time is right!
resz-orsay clock
destination with
beautiful images,
budget friendly style and ideas,
scrumptious recipes,
interesting articles and features,
home and garden, fashion, travel,
stories and  “what-not”,
handmade goods and unique boutique items…
above all it needs to be practical and
tailored -made for a fast-changing world!

We need writers, photographers, artisans and romantically inclined bloggers.
Are you interested?

Do you want to join in as we journey to this
  Destination to Inspiration” ?
to celebrate romance and  joie de vivre?
Do you have any ideas, suggestions or
interested in featuring/advertising your boutique?
Or perhaps you have writing or graphics skills
pen redo final
It is still a work in progress but with alot of imagination
and a bit of work this online magazine could
evolve into something fabulous  with a little French flair!

If you have a minute let me know what you think,
I’d love to hear from you.

I had been thinking recently that magazines were probably heading towards the blogasphere. Magazines have gotten so expensive! This sounds like a wonderful idea to me.

Your magazine article is super! Maybe you could gather/ collect some actual French/ European magazines, those in particular that are related to the fashion industry... Not because you will be doing fashion, but I think you would be so inspired by their layout and design! The oversized pages and bindings... the vivid colors and bold ad ideas... Some from the LA model scene of NYC too of course!

Cant wait to hear and see more!
Ciao~

Oops! I forgot: The Bible in my recent post is not a 'family Bible' per se... While it belongs to me/ my family now... Not in the sense that you meant. I WISH it were so that I had one from so long ago! This one came from a flea market and has handwritten notes from the early 20th century; so interesting, so heartwarming too. God is immutable.

I bet you must treasure the one you have!
Ciao~

As a jewelry designer & former luxury fashion expert, I would love to be involved somehow. Yes, I fear the magazines are now so expensive and the ad revenue is drying up for them, the moment to start this venture is now. Tell us more. xx's Marsha

Wanda Lee said...

My dear friend,

What a truly splendid idea, and from such an exceptionally talented lady as yourself!~ I have thought of and planned something very similar; and I would be most interested in participating with you as well!

[I am also an avid collector of a wide range of magazines, and 'yes', they are getting very expensive! .., This is truly the way of the future and an idea whose time has come]!

(At last count I have a room full of magazines and several thousand at that, by conservative estimate)!

Your ideas are all so lovely, dearest Mimi; I love every wonderful thought on your list!~

Please do count me in for sure!..,

How do you plan to gather perhaps a somewhat more 'formalized group' of contributors? Or do you prefer a more loosely structured group of various people and contributors per se?..,

Would you like to have my email address?~ Currently it is not on my blog; so to avoid spam I think I'll set up a G-mail account very shortly..,

Also,my husband is a web developer 'extraordinaire' and also a fine artist.~He is also able to design 'data base' websites that are very robust!~ He has and does work with international clients on a regular basis; many of whom he has not met personally except, via 'word of mouth referrals'.

Here is his web address: www.crossbowin.ca ~ The company name is; Crossbow International.

Do feel most welcome to have a look at his portfolio; ( he has several more to add soon!~ Of course I do not know if he may be of assistance or if this would be of potential interest to you, yet I thought I would mention it.., ~(Many of our clients these days are currently 'high end' designers from New York, one from London and another from L.A.~ These are in part, still works in progress; therefore they are currently not on the portfolio; yet on our test site.)..,

This is most exciting news my friend!! Thanks ever so much for stopping by to visit!

It's delightful that your other exceptionally talented readers are also so 'on stream' and 'on board' with your fabulous idea! ..,

I could fairly give you 'a big kiss and a hug' right now I'm so utterly delighted and fairly 'scintillating' with enthusiasm!

Overall, I love the 'romantic flavour',and nuance of your exceptional and timely idea; you are no doubt just 'bursting' with fresh ideas of your own my dear lady!!!!

Warmest regards and hugs from Wanda Lee @ The Plumed Pen

P.S.~ As you know I specialize and delight in the fanciful look of romantic realism; Please do let me know how I may be of further assistance!!~ We'll be in touch!

This is a tre's bon idea. Very inovatinve and perfect for now. I would love to help. Come by my blog and give it a look. I write longer posts but that is the focus of my blog. I have more ideas than time and more pictures than space allows.I think you are on to something! This could be very very successful! And I would love to be a part of it.

That is an amazing idea Martha!!! So much potential! I would love to help in any way that I can. The decorating magazines seem to offer less and less these days and so many people have turned to blogging for inspiration, I think this is the perfect time to do something like this!!

Good for you!

:) T

p.s. I received my pkg yesterday and I must THANK YOU profusely!!! So awesome!!! It is really going to be a huge help for us to get around the city with all of your little books chuck full of tips and information! I just can't thank you enough for your generosity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Many hugs ~

Mimi Bleu I love this idea and would be an avid reader, everything you do is magical my dear! I don't know what I can do to , but If you can think of anything please just ask and I'll help if I can!! I can't wait.
I also want to tell you how touched I was by your kind words re. my migraines and tooth issues, it seems I have a lot of fluid in my ears and that is probably adding to all this pain. we are traveling by car now and will fly next month when all this hopefully clears up! ( I think it was from an allergy when we adopted our new dog) As for my speaking French, I try hard but it is difficult. I practice everyday but seem to freeze up in the presence of French speaking people, although all my French friends are so kind and encouraging :) How is your French coming along??
Have a lovely day (Oliver says hi!!)

I would love to imagine that I am sophisticated enough to imbue some elegance to your magazine idea (somehow it sounds very "elegant" to me, I guess because your blog exudes elegance) but all I know is that I love France/Paris and travel and since I am not a photographer I could only guess that I would attempt to write of the love I have for the city of lights and the glimpses I have had of her. But best I can say is that I would love to be an enthusiastic reader.

Oh my dear Mimi,
