Skating Through Paris

This past weeekend in Paris was freezing.
Woke up to -8 celcius and I think it finally shot up to -3 by the afternoon!
BRRRR!!

The cold temps didn't stop some brave skaters enjoying the ice rink outside the
Hotel de Ville- the Paris City Hall.
The sky was a glorious shade of blue!

Watching the skaters whiz effortlessly around the rink made me want to give it a go... I thought about it anyway!

This carousel is more my speed!

Oh, I "used" to enjoy ice skating in another life time....I'd fall and break something these days. The carousel is my speed as well~
I heard on the news it was so cold in France that a zoo closed down and relocated the animals, to the indoors....Stay cozy!
Hugs!

I can think of nothing more romantic than ice skating in Paris in front of the Hotel de Ville...in my powder blue ice skates with the bunny fur trim...Oh who am I kidding!!! Those skates fit me when I was 11, and now I don't even skate!!!!!! But it's a nice daydream...
I emailed you a few weeks ago. Did you get it?
Thanks for you kind visit to French at Heart :))

Dearest Mimi,

Fun to be able to scate! My family lives only 4 hours north of you so I am well informed about the weather. Enjoy it while it lasts!
Love to you,

Mariette

Oh Mimi, this is fabulous! You all out in Europe have had MUCH MORE SNOW and cold than us!!! We had about 2 dustings, but it has melted due to unusually warmer temps this winter. No ice skating here!

BONNE JOURNÉE!!! Anita

I would love to learn how to skate. But I don't think I would have the guts to go out and learn on such a cold cold day. hehehehe. Fun pictures!

I loved seeing the skaters last month in Paris, but our temps were downright balmy compared to the recent weather! There is nothing like a bright blue winter sky in Paris!
