A Few of My Favorite Things

In the wonderful classic movie, The Sound of Music,
one of the best known songs was
' A Few of My Favorite Things'.

 Do you remember the words?
(I think I do)

'Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens,
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens.
Brown paper packages tied up with strings,
these are a few of my favorite things.'

Merci Jacqueline of Home.blogspot for help with the words!

Well,  here are a few of my favorite things
this holiday season!

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate

Printemps Christmas windows

Decorative elements

Cathedrale de Notre Dame

Macarons - any flavour is fine!

Fleurs

Romantic courtyards

Saving the best for last,
the Real Meaning of Christmas!

What are some of your favorite things?

Pur a Little Ooh La La in Your LIfe!

First, I just want to say that I'm not one of those people who correct others...I hate that, but, I thought you might want to know, for future reference, that the words are;
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,
Brown paper packages tied up with strings,
These are a few of my favourite things.
What wonderful Christmas photos of Paris.... chocolate, macaroons, flowers and beautiful Christmas windows and finally the Nativity. Beautiful. XXXX

All of the above. I particularly like everything when you take the pictures and it's all your point of view. It changes everything, even the things I know so well.

I love that movie and that song!

I love all of your favorite things too!
I would add the smell of rain, children with their shoes on the wrong feet, good a cappella singing with 4 part harmony. I could keep going but I will soon have a post in this little comment box!

All of those images are so gorgeous but I think my favorite is of Notre Dame cathedral -it's not often you see religious decorations in France so to see a Christmas tree in a public area is just beautiful!

Those roses are divine too....and so is the chocolate....and so are the macarons...I need to get on a plane to Paris!!!!

Lovely post.

Best Christmas wishes, Natasha.

I spent the best year of my life in France, but never got to see Paris for the holidays. I do remember celebrating Bastille day on the lawn of the Trocadero (is that the right place?) watching the fireworks behind the tour eiffel.

Can i pretend I'm there?

Thank you for the sweet comment! Sadly, I have never seen The Sound of Music and I really think I am missing out on a classic! I might have to fit it into my holiday plans. Oh yeah, and I want about 2 dozen of those pretty macaroons!!

Your list is hard to top, because those are all my favorite things too. Here's another silly one to add. Accordion music on the metro. My trips there are never complete till I hear an accordion player. I told you it was silly!

I also love your Joyeux Noel clip art.
