Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving in the US, and
a wonderful time for those in the rest of the world.
Just made it back home to France and was greeted with
beautiful Christmas lights and decorations all over Paris!
Riding this huge ferris wheel at the Place de la Concorde
has become a tradition for us, the view over Paris is breathtaking!!
I will be posting much more on all the pretty baubles in the boutiques
and lights illuminating the city all through the month.

All the well wishes from all my new blogger friends before leaving on my trip to the U.S. were so kind and so very much appreciated!
I promised to keep you posted, so here are some shots of just a few pieces.
(Please excuse the storage area in the background).
My favorite set - a gilt cane-backed settee and side chair.
My mother and I used to rummage through antique shops
We found some fabulous buys over the years.
This is where my love of French design and decor began.
The original silk fabric is very old but no rips or tears,
and I love it!
and I love it!
The cane is in perfect condition
Brocade Lounger
Hand-painted Lemonade pitcher
Rosewood console - I was too lazy to put on the marble top
Just a few things to share.
Being back in the U.S. was fantastic, after all I am an American girl...
But my trip to the U.S. was bittersweet.
Wonderful memories of family gatherings and sweet thoughts of my dear parents (both now celebrating in Heaven)
colliding with the reality of packing up my things and sending them across the the Ocean.
This trip was different...but in a fabulously good way!
I realized I have a new home now...
my home is wherever my honey is...
and we'll live happily ever after...
Put a Little Ooh La L in Your life!

Beautiful Christmas lights. Paris is so beautiful. We were there this April. Really want to go visit again soon.
I'm currently enamored with your brocade lounger :)
It's so pretty. I'm looking forward to seeing how France looks during the holidays through your eyes!
Welcome home!!! Wow - these items are all so beautiful. Would love to be in Paris right now (just for a few days cause I would get cold)!!
Love to see how Paris looks during the holidays, would love to go there for the holidays one year. Thanks for stopping in....we share the same feeling for Ooh la la - my business name was Oooh la la until I recently changed it. It does have a certain ring to it when you need to express something.
What a fabulous post. I am so jealous of those Paris lights! Wonderful pieces of furniture too. Thanks for the sweet comments on today's post honey. Hope you are having an amazing week. Kori xoxo
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your nice comment!
That rosewood console is GORGEOUS!!!
What wonderful pieces you have and wont they look good in your French home. It must have been difficult for you, going back and seeing family and friends and then, having to leave them all but, you will be living with the one you love in the city of romance. What could be better than that ?
Doesn't Paris look amazing at Christmas ? XXXX
That must have been hard, but France...with your Love... and a Ferris Wheel ride in Paris at Christmas...Ooh La La!!!
Those pieces are all gorgeous.

Welcome home! I love it when Paris has its Christmas lights up! Makes it even more magical. That golden chair is exquisite, wish I owned it!
I absolutely cannot wait for more and more and more from you.
I saw the lights on the Champs before they were lit. We're going to town on Saturday to see them all aglow.
Can't wait. I love Christmas and Christmas in Paris, well. . . Who could ask for anything more?
Bojour! You do live in a city of lights! Lovely pictures.
I am so glad that you liked my lemon-chicken soup! And thanks for letting me know as well :)
About Turmeric. It is a coloring agent. It has no flavor of its own. There is one good thing about turmeric. It fights cancer like nothing else! Earlier it was also used to disinfect food.
So use away...just a way to color your food and disinfect it..especially with grocery meet :)
Beautiful finds! Thanks for sharing. ~ Angela
